Trip Report Las Vegas - Bellagio - Tony and Tina's wedding

Jump to last reply

My husband and I just returned from our honeymoon at the Bellagio. LOVED IT and can not wait to go back.

First I THOUGHT I had booked our room and air through the actual Bellagio website BUT it was a third party - it all worked out BUT I was at the Bellagio website and saw the link for air and hotel - it doesnt say you are leaving their site but if you sign up for promos you can not take advantage because you didnt book through the hotel!! Just a little FYI - we did get a good deal - roundtrip for two from KC - 4 nights at the Bellagio - with roundtrip shuttle to and from hotel and insurance for $1250.

The Bellagio is truly amazing!! Our bags were taken to our room - check in was a breeze = partial lake view was WOW - we could have watched the fountains all night - channel 22 and you can hear the music in your room. Housekeeping out of this world - they come around nine am and pm - turn down - chocolates.....

Tony and Tina's Wedding at the v Theater...... I had seen this locally and LOVED it - the acting in Vegas was good - the food I didnt like... but we got our tickets from www.halfpriceshows.com - was a little nervous but got them without issue!!! will use them again!!

We did get a 24 hour deuce bus ticket for one day - we did a lot of walking but this day we had planned to go to Fremont Street so we took advantage of taking the bus to south end of strip and back to Bellagio and then to Harrahs to take the free shuttle to The Rio. $7 for Deuce - we didnt have to wait long for a bus - sit on top!! We bought the tickets at 10:30 am and were able to use the ticket again in the morning for a ride back up the strip - its for a full 24 hours.

We ate breakfast at la Salsa Cantina in Miracle Mile Shops across the Street - $3.95 - it was great.

We did enjoy the Bellagio Buffet at lunch - $19something - I ate my weight in dessert - great shrimp and sushi - lamb and fruit.

We had hot dogs at Imperial Palace and Mermaids on Fremont Street - cheap and not bad.... When researching dining online beware that the prices may not be current - we found prices at Imperial Palace had gone up - not impressed with this place.... dirty and old.

Flamingo dated but the live flamingos were pretty.

We did the CBS Television Experiense at Planet Hollywood - you watch a new show and with a dial gauge how you like it - I did this twice - first was a funny comedy - LOVED it - the second day was an hour long drama - did not like it but was suppose to stay for an hour round table discussion - they over booked I was paid $100 and didnt even have to stay!!

Bellagio fountains were a favorite - relaxing, amazing. Mirage volcano- ok - Ti Sirens - good but risque ....... Lion Habitat at MGM - hhhmmm okay but not much to see there. Fall of Atlantis at Caesars - do not go out of your way!! repeat do not go out of your way!!! Caesars is gorgeous but this show was just sad!!

Miracle Mile shops at Planet Hollywood does have a rain show - kinda cool. Venitian has the gondalas - nice

Luxor and Excalibur - not impressed - there is a free shuttle between the two

NewYOrk New York - I dont do roller coasters so there and Stratosphere didnt make my favorite list but at NYNY they have the Statue of Liberty and a fire boat and a nice fireman tshirt display outside and a jelly bean Statue of Liberty inside.

M and M store - fun but expensive

LOVED Fremont Street - impressive lights display - beads and drinks offered when we just walked into a casino. when you get off the deuce you can not miss Fremont Street but to get back on a south bound bus walk a block over to get to the correct bus stop.

Circus Circus and Sahara - not impressed - we did get a dollar shot with a souvenior glass at sahara's. Take pics if you must but ride bus back to strip.

Caesars Casino waitress was offering drinks as soon as we sat down - Planet Hollywood we played slots for a bit and never saw a waitress.

have snacks and drinks in your room for when you get back to hotel at night - that is when the mini bar really talks to you!! we learned quick and didnt spend $5 on small can of pringles.

The ONLY some what of complaint about the Bellagio is the toilet - its like an airplane toilet - super loud!! but minor and wonderful hotel!!!

We loved Las Vegas and can not wait to return -
