I'm arranging a family reunion/ parents' 50th anniversary celebration next month... we are staying in La Jolla, but will be about the San Diego area for a week or so. I am struggling to find a place that can seat 17 of us (11 adults, 6 kids) at a large table for my parents' anniversary dinner. They want a place that is kid friendly where we will not be frowned upon for kids being kids, and would prefer to sit at one table. Casual dining only, as (aside from the kids), my father's version of dressing up is a polo and jeans ![]()
The two ideas that have come up so far are dining with Shamu at SeaWorld (they will not join tables), and A japanese steakhouse (max 10-12 per table). Both have the benefit of something to entertain the kids while we're eating. All ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Large group, kid-friendly dining in La Jolla/San Diego

We have had a large family group on Casa de Pico's outdoor patio:

It is casual, festive and fun but out in Grossmont.
The Fish Market on North Harbor Drvie - near downtown [next to the Midway] should be able to handle this with no problem. Great views and solid, good food.
