Lancaster Pa planning, advice please

Jump to last reply

We were supposed to visit Lancaster a few years ago, but the trip fell through. So we are trying again. It will be 3 30 somethings, 2 60 somethings, and two boys (4 and 5). We've got three nights and will be staying at Homewood Suites Lancaster.

Day 1: drive from Philly to Strasburg. Visit the railroad musuem, lunch at Springerle House, then ride the 1pm train. If the boys want to go back to the museum, we will. If not we may try a short buggy ride. After dinner most of us will go to Dutch Wonderland for the 3 hour before closing preview. We'll focus on the water park area. The 60 somethings will go to Sight and Sound Theater.

Day 2: spend the day at Dutch Wonderland. Where is a good place for lunch nearby? Maybe Pasquale's or Smoketown Diner? We want something easy and fast-ish. I want to use it as a break from the park and the chance for some air conditioning. Dinner will probably be some take out back at the hotel since I'm sure the boys will be exhausted.

Day 3: Lititz...Wilbur Chocolate, Sturgis pretzels, lunch at Tomato Pie, ice cream at Grecos. After lunch head to Hershey World (not doing Hershey Park). Where should we head to dinner between Hershey and Lancaster?

Day 4: Breakfast at Cafe One Eight. Buggy ride if we didn't do it on day one. Head home via Nottingham to visit Herrs.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.
