Lancaster PA: does this, or any, itinerary make any sense?

Jump to last reply

Am still trying to see if any kind of one-day Lancaster, PA area itinerary makes any sense from Philadelphia. Anyway:

1. Take the earliest train or bus out possible from Philly.

2. Lancaster Central Market.

3. #14 Bus to Amish Farm and House.

4. #14 Bus back to downtown. Lancaster Quilt and Textile Museum. Lancaster Cultural History Museum.

5. #18 Bus to Wheatland.

6. #18 Bus to downtown. Head back to Philly.

Is this impossible without a car? Is this impossible even with a car? Or maybe I should scrap the whole idea of traveling here from Philadelphia? The feedback I'm getting on the Amish Experience Tour is uniformly negative, here and elsewhere, or I'd have considered that.
