I know you can take a tour on the Mt. Washington on Lake Winnipesaukee.

I would recommend the Mount Washington versus the Squam Lake boat tour. The Mount Washington vessel is huge and route (on the way larger lake) covers far more territory and scenery - and is far more enjoyable (I think) and relaxing.
At the Mount Washington website, check out the dinner cruises. Though I am not normally a fan of dinner cruises (like most, the food on this one, buffet style, is merely "acceptable"), this one is fabulous for the sunset scenery and the music (two or three different bands) and you don't have to get all dressed up (just a little). And, there are often fireworks as you return to "port". (Check the schedule at Weirs Beach website.)
The Squam Lake tour is terrific of you just want to go around to "locations" used in the movie "On Golden Pond" and view a lot of gorgeous, impressive, well set, millionaires' summer homes.
