A group of us are looking to get together for a week or so in a cabin/house rental on a lake in summer of 2015. We'll have about 7 adults and 3 young kids.

We have the whole US to choose the perfect lake for our vacation and are looking for suggestions. Here's what we're looking for.

- Cabin/house preferably right on the water
- We want to rent a ski boat for the week, and would ideally like to keep it docked at the cabin with us instead of in a marina
- Nearby hiking and mountain biking trails would be a nice bonus, as would pretty scenery
- The water needs to be warm enough to actually swim in during the summer. We want to be in the water, not just looking at it!
- Bonus if it's within a day's drive of Salt Lake City as then we could bring the kayaks/bikes ourselves and not have to rent them, but this isn't a requirement.
- Being near areas or cities that would make for nice day trips would also be a nice bonus, but not required.

Lake Winnipesaukee in NH although there are smaller lakes nearby. If you choose the Wolfboro side of the lake, you are about an hour from Portland ME. You are also a short drive north to North Conway and White Mountains. There's a mountain bike trail in Northfield NH (former small ski slope) that's very popular plus other places. Some of the ski areas offer mountain biking in summer.
