We are planning a summer vacation (mid-July) and are considering Lake of the Ozarks. Would like some advice on good/nice/more upscale hotels to stay at - preferably with golf. Going with 2 kids 7 & 10 and grandparents. Have read mixed reviews on Tan-tar-a and Lodge of Four Seasons. Any advice?

I have stayed at Lodge of the 4 Seasons many times and always enjoyed it- that was a few years back though- things may have changed - and my daughter always enjoyed it too - she was around that age when we used to go -
We stayed at Tan-Tar-A Resort a few years ago. There is boat rental, mini golf, bowling, & golf all on the premisis. It was nice - but I felt like we were "nickled & dimed" for everything.
