I may be in the area next September and am trying to decide between these two for 3 nights. Figure I'd splurge (though the rates actually seem reasonable).
Looking for insight on either and if folks have preference. Seem to be a dead heat on Trip Advisor.
Thanks.

Trip Ideas
If you are wanting to stay in a Hotel rather than the Montelargo condos then the Ritz Carlton is much much nicer and more central to the village. Loews is a way out and to be honest when we stayed there we found it rather dull. The Ritz Carlton was much more lively and convenient.
PS We actually preferred the condos in Montelargo village as they have beautiful views of the lake from the balconies.
coldplay, I looked at the Montelargo as well. As I understand it, all the rooms are privately owned and the Montelargo sort of manages them and rents them out. As such, I wonder if some rooms may not be so good depending on how the owners take care of it?
Also, how is this Lake Las Vegas laid out? So Loews is NOT in the main village area? Is Montelargo in the main village area?
Also, how was the self parking at the Ritz? On their website, they said it's far from the hotel, so they advised paying for the valet.
Thanks for the help!
