Hi, everybody. My family and I usually get together in northern Wisconsin for a long weekend in a lake cabin type atmosphere, and the last few years have been at the White Birch Resort on Lake Oneida. However, this year we won't have as much time for driving because of our disperate schedules (plus the fact that three of us will be flying in for the weekend). We'd like to find something not far from Wisconsin Rapids (mom lives there), Stevens Point (brother lives there), or Wausau (sister lives there). My husband and I will be flying into the CWA airport, if that info helps.

We need a place that will comfortably sleep 7 adults in 4 beds. We also will have two teenage boys who are perfectly fine kipping on the floor or a couch, but beds would be good for them, too.

We'll be going the third weekend in September, so it will probably be too cold for swimming, but we would like to fish and kayak/canoe. We'll need full cooking facilities and outdoor grilling facilities. A fire pit would be nice. Something not overly crowded with jet skis or water skis would be preferable.

Any suggestions? Preferably places with websites so that we can all check them out online. Thank you!
