It really depends where you are staying. LA is pretty big. Magic Mountain is in Valencia whereas Calif. Adventure is in Orange County. That is quite a distance from one another, even without the traffic.
Also, Magic Mountain and Calif Adventure are 2 totally difference parks. MM is all about big rollercoasters. California Adventure is a lot more low key.

We are stayig in Anaheim and we are going to both parks while we are there.
my question is; which one would be better to go to on Thanksgiving Day?
Which will be less crowded?
Thanks

I have to agree with going to Magic Mtn on Thursday. Traffic will definitely be lighter but since most people have the day after Thanksgiving off, traffic should not be too bad on either day.
My logic really centered around which park will likely be less crowded the day AFTER Thanksgiving. My bet is California Adventure. But get there early as the entrance to the park will be a zoo as Disneyland will be jammed! Also, shoppers hoovering around Downtown Disney will be making it seem even more crowded.

I don't think it will make much difference. They're both going to be more crowded than usual, and the traffic will be light both days. I would probably go along with Magic Mountain on the Thursday for the traffic factor.
After you you get your hand stamped at DCA, you can get back in via the Grand Californian hotel entrance. It should save some time. If you want a quieter place to eat lunch, go to Whitewater Snacks inside the hotel. Inside DCA you can make a reservation via Disney Dining for Wine Country Trattoria, as a sit down lunch. Go early because the service can be a bit sluggish. The food isn't bad and especially if you share main courses it is reasonabley priced.
