la area b&b's

Hi....I would just like to ask if anyone can suggest a nice bed and breakfast in the Los Angeles area. I would prefer one along the coast, or on Catalina Island. I would not object to one a little north, say in Malibu, or a bit south, say in Orange County.

Th kicker is, I would like it to be fairly reasonably priced, with my cap being around $200 a night. I am looking to relax, without a great deal of crowds where I stay, and to have my husband (who has never been to the area) get a real feel of a place I really do adore!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance of what you may offer!

We've had the best luck north of L.A., up in the Santa Barbara area. Summerland, Carpinteria and SB have several very good choices. If you are interested check out Santabarbara.com or Carpinteria.com

There are a few places in Laguna Beach that might work, although I've never styed there. Be careful about getting a room on the street side, as traffic noise could be tough

we have had beautiful rooms in Dana Point, (OC) at the blue lantern inn. The nice thing is is that its set up like a B&B (they serve a nice breakfast)but it was built as a hotel, and every room has a fire place and a large lux. bathroom with its own whirlpool tub. Many rooms have a great view overlooking dana point harbor. And the rooms range from high $100's. It would be a nice choice...
good luck!

There is a great B/B in Santa Monica - off the beaten path near PCH towards Sunset. can't remember the name. Can someone help? Santa Barabra is great but NOT LA as I'm sure you know.
