My husband and I are planning a day in Sioux falls on our way to Custer. We will arrive late Sunday night and will be staying Monday night as well before leaving early Tuesday Morning, so we have a full day on Monday to plan.
I'm wondering if anyone has been to the Kirby Science Center, of the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls? I have three boys 9,7, and 3. I have not been able to find much for pictures or videos of this place so I am just not sure if the older two boys would enjoy it or not. The T-Rex is neat. I did see video of the "earthquake" which is large legos on a table that shakes. I think the 3 year old would be entertained but will the older two be bored? They might all think the tornado is cool. The weight lifting does not seem like something that would interest them. The rock wall might. Do they actually get to wear a space suit?

Our other thought is the zoo, but this zoo has only 850 animals and we have a zoo by us over double this size. I am not sure if this zoo has small exhibits with animals in small pens that the kids would be disappointed that the animals are so "caged"? Small zoos can be fun if they are not too cramped and have a good variety.

Anyone have any ideas or experience with these places? We will be staying in a hotel with a "water park" so in the late afternoon the kids will be there.
