I noticed there have not been many photos of Key West on this forum so I thought I would add some. These go along with the trip report I wrote about a 14 months ago.

Thanks! I'm headed to Key West on a cruise stop in February and enjoyed your pics as a preview.

Thanks amwosu, I think you will like Key West. How much time do you have there?
Thanks for the great pics! We are leaving in 2 weeks for a trip to Fort Lauderdale/Miami and Key West then returning back to FLL to fly home. Spending 3 days in each area and I'm really looking forward to getting out of the New England winter.
lindsyb - don't miss taking a sunset cruise on the Western Union. It is a tall ship - lots of pics in the group that you looked at. It is a 3 hour cruise and was fantastic.
Great - I will add that to our list. Did you have to pre-book or did you do it once you were there and had an idea of the weather.
Also, would love any other suggestions as well. This is our first trip and I have been taking lots of notes and am trying to play it by ear so that it is relaxing but will have lots of options "in my back pocket"
We booked the Western Union the day before but I don't think there would have been a problem doing it the same day. As far sightseeing is concerned, we liked Truman's Key West White House as well as the usual suspects, Hemingway and Audubon house. We are for the most part "seat of the pants" tourists so we do not carry around must see, must eat lists. We found Key West to be a great fit for this kind of travel since it is pleasant and interesting to just walk around and see the neighborhoods. There is an art museum, the name escapes me, but it is around all of the other sites, that we enjoyed very much and I would recommend.
Thanks so much!
basingstoke2- I will only be in Key West for a day of complete debauchery while I am on the www.buckeyecruise.com which is akin to a four day tailgate party for 2000 Buckeye fans. The Buckeye Cruise is a fundraiser for a GREAT cause- Breast Cancer Research in honor of Chris Spielman's recently departed wife Stefanie. I am an alumni cheerleader and think I might be doing high kicks at Sloppy Joe's part of the day. I think of this as a preview for a "real" trip to Key West.
Basingstoke2,
Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos...Hemingway House, Mallory Square, and those loveable roosters (except when they cackle cackle cackle and wake you up at 6am LOL)! Brought me back to my trip there two years ago. Key West has such a special vibe; your photos reminded me that I must at some point return!
Best wishes, Daniel
Thanks for posting your pictures. We're going to be in Key West this month, too. I've been kind of bummed the last few days watching the Duval Street web cam and seeing everyone wearing coats!
We're hoping to do a sunset cruise & Western Union isn't one I remember checking, but will do so.
LHS- google Schooner Western Union and you will get the Schooner Western Union Maritime Museum web site. Not only is this a great cruise, but you will be sailing on ship of historical importance and supporting the Museum (which is the ship). This is one of those opportunities when you can be good to yourself and support a worthy cause at the same time.
An update, the Schooner Western Union has not been sailing since 4/15/09, but renovations may make it available this March.

We went on the Appledore Schooner sunset cruise and enjoyed it very much.
