Kayaking in Acadia NP

I am trying to decide between four outfitters and was wondering if anyone has experience with them or opinons about the different destinations or the best times of the day to go.

Coastal Kayak Tours, 48 Cottage St., Bar Harbor. They have a 2-1/2 hr. guided tour for $38 pp (at 9 am, 2 pm, and 5:30 pm [Sunset Tour]) around Porcupine Is. The shorter duration is a plus.

Maine State Sea Kayak, 254 Main Street, Southwest Harbor, all 4 hours long (10am- 2pm, 2pm-6pm, and 4-8pm); kayak to Western Bay (Pretty Marsh), Blue Hill Bay, or Somes Sound and occasionally the Cranberry Islands (Western Way); $44 pp. Many trips are one-way, so that wind is at your back; they bring you back in a van. We will be staying in Southwest Harbor, so this would be convenient.

National Park Sea Kayak, all 4-hrs. long (9-1, 10:30-2:30, 2:30-6:30; 4:40-8:30), 39 Cottage St. in Bar Harbor; kayak to Western Bay or Blue Hill Bay, and occasionally Somes Sound. Like the one above, many trips are one-way.

Schoodic Peninsula, 3-hour tours, $50 pp. However, they don’t set times in advance.
