Any ideas for a 5 months pregnant mom to fully enjoy Kauai like the rest of the family? When we planned the trip (prior to pregnancy), our trip was full of the adventurous (heli, zip line, hiking, etc.). Now I need to re-think what I will be doing for 11 days. Any semi easy hiking trails or other ways I can really explore the island?

Kayacking do-able for you?
Are you in good shape? I ask because at 5-months I did all my normal stuff, and I bet you can too. In fact, I recall feeling super good at 5 months.
tdorr,
There are some 'fairly' easy hikes full of history(like the petroglyph ones), you can get a free trail map with descriptions here. I say 'fairly' because even the easy hikes can get very slippery with the kauai soil.

Like wliwl, I felt great being 5 months pregnant. I went to Maui when I was about 5 months pregnant and had a great time hiking and snorkeling. If you are in good shape, there's no reason why you can't hike and do the helicopter tour. (The helicopter tour may make you queasy, but that has nothing to do with being pregnant!)
There was a guy over on trip advisor who surprised his wife with a trip to Kauai when she was like 7 months or so pregnant. They did lots of things...if I can find his trip report I will give you a link to it.

Maybe starrs will see this thread and be able to help you. She's an expert on Kauai.
You will have a wonderful time. Aloha
Check out Spa by the Sea for treatments.
Or check out the relaxing pool/spa area at The Grand Hyatt, Poipu. When I last visited, there was a very happy pregnant women being totally pampered! Even if you only go for a pedicure or manicure at the spa, you can enjoy their facilities in a lovely setting!
I was about 4 months pregnant on my first trip to kauai in 2003 and did many things, I loved the catamaran tour and also just floating the resort pool was amazing. We were at the Grand Hyatt. I'm sure you will have a lovely time and 5 months is a really great time to travel.
