Kauai - rainy forecast every day of our trip!
We have a trip to Kauai planned Sat Feb 28 - Sat Mar 7. I've been looking at the weather and, starting tomorrow, they are calling for rain literally every single day of our trip!! The weather forecast looked gorgeous up until now. I know it rains often in Kauai, but are we bound to be rained out every single day? Any tips?

Where are u staying? We're in Kauai right now. Our forecast also said scattered showers and such but it would entirely depend on where u are in the island. We are staying in Poipu and every day has been sunny and hot. Today we went up to the North shore and got completely rained out so we headed back south. Already just past Anahola it got sunny again and Kapa'a was bright and breezy. Plus we saw a glorious rainbow over Kealia beach. We're still driving down right now and it's sunny. It's funny because the North Shore today was pouring!! So don't worry if it rains where you are. A short drive will probably bring you some sunshine. Hopefully that is the case! We leave the day after you arrive!

I've been in Oahu in Feb when it rained a lot. However, the rains would blow over the island and then the sun would come out and it'd be beautiful.
Hawaii is very tropical and even with rain it's stunningly beautiful. You will also have a lot of sunshine on the south shore of all the islands.

Ditto tifa...Kauai seems to have more micro-climates than SF.
We have stooped so low as to call a business on the other side of the island and ask what their hours are and then ask "oh yeah....how is the weather out there right now?".

Writing from Kauai, on sunny Poipu beach. We've been here a week, no rain. The forecast calls for rain next week, but the rains here are often brief.
If you can't tolerate rain, go to a desert island. Kauai's lush beauty requires rain.

Writing this from Hanapepe - Salt Pond Beach. It's sunny and hot here even though the drive took us through some patches of clouds and rain. It's so sunny I have to write with my head under a towel just to see my phone screen! we leave tomorrow (boo) but hope u all have plenty of sun and rainbows!

Don't even worry about it. I had gorgeous weather and saw similar reports. "Rain" can mean a ten-minute shower; it can mean rain in the middle of the night; etc. Hopefully, that's what it will mean this time.
Similarly, "cloudy" meant a few puffy white clouds. Check out my recent trip report to see what I wrote about the weather on the "rainy" North Shore -- where I had five weeks of mostly gorgeous weather.
