Kauai Condo Help
Hi,
We will be going to Kauai in June 08. We would like to stay on the North Shore. I am looking for a condo on the beach, with beach access, and a pool. I have checked out VRBO and all I find are homes. There will be 6 of us, 2 adults, and 4 teenagers. Any help would be appreciated.

You may want to do a search at http://www.kauaivacationrentals.com/index.htm
I don't think there are any condos ON the beach on the north side. There are condos w/ ocean views and ocean access though
Happy hunting.

When I "Googled" Kauai north shore condo rentals I found pages and pages of great options to choose from. I finally booked a unit with an incredible view at SeaLodge in Princeville. The price and terms were a little better than the others and it looks like just what I wanted. (My trip's in July.)
I only needed a 1-bedroom unit and you will obviously need something larger, but there are many 2 bedroom units available (and you might want more than one unit).
That web site I booked from is:
http://www.nakearentals.com/
Other web sites I looked at include:
http://www.kauai-vacations-ahh.com/k...s/alii-kai.htm
http://www.kauaisealodgecondos.com/broadband.htm
But ... as the previous poster said, the north shore condos tend to have great views -- but are not actually on the beach.
Good luck!

We have just one condo project which is actually on the beach here on the northshore of Kaua`i -- in Ha`ena, it's the Hanalei Colony Resort:

All other condos are located blufftop in Princeville. Pali Ke Kua has a paved footpath down to a small beach (great snorkeling when the water is calm!):

I have to second the SeaLodge. We just got back from a week in Kauai and stayed there in unit G5. 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, kitchen, small deck, gorgeous views, for $200/night. Plenty of room for a family of 4,clean affordable and very habitable. The beaches are within 10-20 minutes away, and it's fun to go from beach to beach. We did not miss being directly on the beach at all. There is also a pool.
We saw rental homes right on the beach at Anini, thought that looked fun. I think one of the rental agencies was called Serenity. I have no idea what those go for though.
