Will be in Kauai for only 3 days in April 10-13. With limited time, is one part of the island better to stay than another? Thanks from Florida.

Note the road doesn't go all the way around the island, so to cut down on driving maybe stay in the "middle" e.g. Wailua/Kapaa ?

"pspercy" is still recovering from a hangover, so excuse the commentary about MAUI.

On Kauai you should choose between Princeville (north) and Poipu (south).
Many more resorts and restaurants down south, and generally sunnier weather.
Not nearly as lush and beautiful though.
Up north it rains more but is much prettier. The Princeville resort is nicest on the island IMO.

Kapaa is between Poipu and Princeville.
You're thinking of Wailea, not Wailua.

Stay at Poipu. Drive up to Princeville for the view,take suits and swim at Hanelei.
