I have booked The Raphael Hotel on Country Club Plaza. I know it is a smaller hotel compared to the Marriott and InterContinental on Country Club Plaza. Did I make the right choice? Are these other two hotels just as convenient to CCP.

You've made a good choice. I've not stayed at the Raphael, but it consistently gets rated as one of the best hotels in the area. FYI- CCP location is excellent!
I've stayed at the Raphael, and agree with Pumpy. A charming hotel!

You will enjoy this hotel. You made a good decision.
I have stayed at all three. My opinion is that the InterContinental (formerly the Fairmont) is the best hotel overall. Make sure that you request a Plaza View room. The fitness facility is great and the pool area is very nice. The lounge is usually pretty lively with music and expensive cocktails.
The Raphael is a nice hotel as well. The rooms are bigger (more the size of a junior suite). The elevator makes you think you are living in the 1940's.
The Raphael and IC are right next to each other just across the creek from the Plaza.
The Marriott has more of a new feel to it as compared to the other two. While it is fine hotel I didn't think there was anything special to it. It is about 1/4 mile up a hill from the Plaza.
Price wise I think the IC is the most expensive. A good deal at the Raphael may swing me over there when I travel to KC.
