We were SO BUMMED. Stayed at a place in Osh Kosh (Pioneer Inn) And found out there are no sand beaches (well, a TINY one exists by the giant park for kids) by Lake Winnebago. Wish someone had told us that before we went with two small children who just looked at the big lake surrounded by big rocks. Just thought I would share this info with anyone who's interested.
JUST RETURNED FROM OSH KOSH, WI

Sorry to hear 'bout your trip. But didn't you just LOVE the accents of the local people? Everybody sounds like the cast from the movie "Fargo."
HI, read your message about the Oshkosh experience. Were you there for the EAA (airplane event?) I just moved to Kentucky--lived in Oshkosh for 2yrs//I probably am not the biggest Oshkosh fan either...no beaches
However, there is a very nice park & historical area. Sorry, I couldn't have given you advice before hand. Where are you from? Did you want to visit Green Bay? (Packers!)
