We are spending two nights at this place -we have made reservation for dinner at the Farmhouse Inn for one night-any suggestions for a "low key" dinner around Stanley or Luray, VA. Or even a good pizza place to take back to the room?
Also Is there a pottery place near by?

I grew up in Stanley, so I can say from experience that your dining options will be VERY, limited. When I visit my parents I enjoy eating at the Hawksbill Diner. Try the hamburgers, they make them by hand and they're really good. If you want pizza, there's a Domino's in Luray, about 5 miles away from Jordan Hollow. My dad's favorite restaurant is Dan's Steakhouse on Route 211 between Luray and New Market.
Let us know how the stay went when you return. I haven't been to Jordan Hollow in a few years but loved it then. The Farmhouse meals were fantastic. I recommend it often hoping that it is still good.
We just returned from a two night stay at Jordan Hollow Farm. We had a fantastic time. The place is very charming and we were very pleased with all accomodations. The grounds were nicely decorated in a fall theme and the gardens leading to the Farm House restaurant are beautiful. We stayed in the Mare Meadow Lodge and had a small bottle of champagne and homeade cookies waiting for us in our room. The room was rustic-chic and I loved the jet bath and fireplace. The breakfasts were AMAZING! We ate at the Farmhouse restaurant and we had the best beef tenderloin meal that we can ever remember. The Inn takes in unwanted cats/kittens and they roam the farm and are very friendly to all of the guests. We were lucky in that we had a gift certificate(from our wedding) that we could use. It is pricey but if you are celebrating a special occasion it is a wonderful place to visit.
