Jacksonville hotel question

For those of you who have either been to Jacksonville,FL or live there, which downtown hotel is better--the Hilton Riverfront or the Radisson Riverwalk?? The rates are only a few dollars apart per night so that isn't an issue. Quality, View of river/city, and location are my key issues. Thanks.

Both have beautiful views, but the last time we looked at the Radisson Riverwalk, it was a little run down. (Stained carpet, that sort of thing).
I think you'd be better off with the Hilton.
P.S. At some of these hotels, like the Raddison Riverwalk, not all of the rooms face the river. It this is what you wan't be sure to ask for a riverfront room.

I agree with the above. Radisson is older adn not as well kept. Have you tried the Adam's MArk or Omni? Both better hotels in the same area. The Adam's MArk has particularly good views but the Omni is right across the street from the JAcksonville Landing and has a great restaurant (Juliette's) I would chose these over the Hilton but if you are only choosing from Hilton or Radisson, then Hilton no contest!

We stayed at the Adams Mark in March and it was quite nice. We had a room with a view of the river which was excellent. The hotel is very nice and clean.
We are going back this fall and will try the Hilton, on the advice of an attny who lives in Jax and recommends it to out of towners.
If you are looking for good restaurants, I recommend the Bistro Aix and BB's..

Thanks to all for your comments. I did book the Hilton Riverfront and requested a riverview room. I looked at the Adams' Mark,as suggested, but found it to be about $50 more per night than I got the Hilton for on Expedia.com (avg.$90/night)
