Islamorada in December

I am getting married in Islamorada at the Pelican Cove Resort and staying on for our honeymoon in December. Has anyone stayed at Pelican Cove? Also, any recommendations on restaurants or things to see or do? Are there any good night spots in Islamorada, we have a group of friends flying in from Chicago for the wedding.

Any help is much appreciated (:
