Is this itinerary better than my prior 2 for YNP and GTNP (will the third time be a charm??)

Hi. I keep changing my itinerary with the wealth of info here. We, a family of 4, kids of 10 and 12, will celebrate my 50th and son's 11 th during this trip next August. Am trying to work around the 5 nights of Yellowstone Lodging I have. We are now up to 11 nights and pto is an issue. Does this make sense logistically? Am also really struggling with airports. Idaho Falls is cheaper but am ready to pay the price for Jackson if it makes the trip that much easier so appreciate feedback. I need to book Signal Lodging and the Driggs house.

This trip will be 11 nights. We will land in Jackson or Idaho Falls around 2:30 pm (super early East Coast flight) and rent car and go to Signal Lodge where we will stay for 3 nights. We will stop in Jackson or Idaho Falls for supplies on way to Signal.

The next 3 nights we are planning to rent a lovely house in Driggs, for a different and more peaceful view of the Tetons. I think a hot tub, laundry, privacy and creature comforts will be needed by then. We plan to visit upper and lower Mesa falls in Idaho, do a trail ride and dinner at either Lin Ranch or Grand Targhee Resort. Also want to do a rafting trip in Jackson (1 hour away.) http://www.vrbo.com/112834#

The final 5 nights are at YNP. We have 3 nights at the Snow Lodge and then 2 western Cabins at Canyon. We have the chuckwagon dinner scheduled for my son's birthday.

Does this make sense as far as drive time and logistics? does the Jackson airport make alot more sense than Idaho Falls?

Really appreciate all your help.
