Is there someplace to ski in Connecticut now?

Planning a trip to Connecticut next week -is there snow? (My son has never seen snow).

You will have to go to a ski area. There is no snow elsewhere. Ski areas will have manmade snow and probably not a lot of snow either.

Yes, you will have to go to a ski area to ski.

What part of CT? Mohawk Mtn in NW CT is fully open. Temperatures have been good for making snow, and there's a winter storm coming through the area tomorrow that could help.

A little further north in SW Mass on the NY border is Catamount.

You may also want to look into snow tubing. Some place like Woodbury www.woodburyskiarea.com/winter/tubing.htm.

Mt. Southington, in central CT, is making snow. I hope we don't get any more snow!

It's all fake snow - man made, not real. We've had the warmest Feb on record - with an average temp of around 40.
