Is there Krispy Kreme donuts at Walt Disney World

We heard there were Krispy Kreme donuts at WDW. Anyone know for sure? Thank you to all who reply

If there isn't there sure ought to be. Considering the physical appearance and eating habits of the average Disney guest, I bet Krispy Kreme would be rolling in dough (no pun intended).

I'm curious - why is it that you want a definitive answer to this question?

Because, they aren't sold where we live, people talk about these donuts like they are from heaven, and in all the online research we've done on WDW we have ran across a few mentions of them being sold but not where or anything like that.

If they dont, be thankful. They are the worst donuts I have ever tasted. There was so much oil in them that it ran down my chin! Yuk! Dunkin Donuts are #1

Its the air I love. Light and fluffy, they melt in your mouth. Looks like we are going to get a KK/DD debate here.

I've never had oil run down my chin. The doughnuts melt in your mouth, but they have to be hot off the rack.

Never had Krispy Kreme at WDW. But the definitely exist here in florida. You can also get them at grocery stores, prepackaged. I personally like Dunkin Donuts much better however.

When I finally had a Krisby Kreme I wondered what all the hoopla was about. They are AWFUL! They seemed like a "fake" donut.

Yes, they are sold in the ice cream parlor at the Disney Yacht Club Hotel. But I'd stick with the peanut butter chocolate ice cream sunday.

I live in Winston-Salem, NC, home of the original Krispy Kreme doughnuts. I can tell you that the pre-packaged boxes of KK doughnuts you buy at the grocery store aren't very good. The ultimate time to eat the original glazed doughnut is while they're still warm and soft, straight off the conveyor belt. They melt in your mouth and they're very light. I've never eaten one and had oil run down my chin. They're excellent and very addicting!
I'm also partial to their cream-filled, chocolated frosted doughnuts. Here in W-S there are 2 Dunkin' Donuts -- although their coffee is very good, their doughnuts run a distant second to Krispy Kreme's.

I like Krispy Kreme donuts, but only the freshly made ones. In Tempe, AZ, I went to a Krispy Kreme store. They have this automated assembly line, which culminates in the glazed donuts going through an icing waterfall while you watch.

They were excellent. Don't even bother with anything that is not right off the assembly line or sold hot over the counter at a Krispy Kreme outlet.

Oh, so now it's come to this - a debate on donuts?? Well, since you asked...

IMHO, it varies donut by donut, but Krispy is 100% better than Dunkin' if it's the 'original' KK donut and it's fresh. However, the Dunkin' Boston Creme or Chocolate Frosted blows away anything else.

Can't you Disney people go 1 day without eating a bunch of sweets? No wonder you all weigh 300 pounds.

I prefer Winchills over any other donut brand.

Each Krispy Kreme store will have a couple of red neon lights that when lit up say "Hot Donuts Now". If that sign's not lit up, keep on driving. And never, never buy them from the supermarket. Waste of calories.

However, a hot, plain glazed Krispy Kreme is one of life's most intense pleasures.

YUM, fattening donuts, one of my favorite things! I am from TN where you can get a Krispy Kreme anywhere, but since moving to Chicago they are a luxury I rarely get to indulge in. There is only 1 Krispy Kreme in all of Chicago. I think there are 2 others out in the burbs but still that is not much. The one in Chicago is all the way southwest close to Midway airport and I live on the northeast side about an hour away! If either me or my husband has to go anywhere near Midway for any reason, we are sure to swing by KK and pick up at least 3 dozen original KKs. Sure they are much better hot, but you take what you can get. We'll keep 1 dozen out for eating and freeze the other 2 dozen thawing them out later when we need a fix! It's better than no KK at all!!!!!!!

The first Krispy Kreme outlet in Washington State (maybe the west coast?) opened a couple of weeks ago in Issaquah, outside Seattle. The first week's sales reportedly set a record in KK history - people were literally camped out for 48 hours - in the rain - in advance of the store's opening. IMO the originals are good if they're hot out of the oil, otherwise it's a pretty average donut experience.

Interesting phenomenon - I recall when McDonald's opened a store in Juneau, Alaska 25 years ago or so (the town was reportedly way too small to justify a McD's according to their market analysts) some folks from other towns in SE Alaska chartered an Alaska Airlines 727 to bring crates of Big Macs in for the burger-challenged. Behold the power of cheese(burgers) and that of marketing experts.

There are a number of KK franchise in Southern California. While they are a big deal when they first open, the excitement dies off. If you're out on the West Coast and are looking for one - check La Habra, Orange (At the Orange Block), the Ontario Mills, and down in San Diego.

There are one or two proposed to open soon in Portland as well.

So close, yet so far away. Durham is only 90 minutes from KK headquarters in Winston-Salem, yet no hot donuts now in the Bull City.

I remember way back when in college student groups selling donuts in the dorms as fund raising projects. Hot, fresh donuts delivered to your dorm. Mmmm, donuts. Why did I ever graduate.
