Is David Copperfield Worth Seeing?

David Copperfield is going to be in Vegas when we are there and I want to see a good illusionist/magic show. Is he worth seeing. What about Lance Burton?

I took my husband to see Copperfield when he was at the Warner Theater in D.C. last Dec. We were very excited to go, and had second row seats. But Copperifled seemed very bored and tired, like he'd done every illusion a million times (he probably has, but still...) It was somewhat disappointing because of that. It all seemed very very scripted, not alot of energy. The illusions were good (and my husband caught the frisbee he threw into the audience so got to to onstage to be part of an illusion) but Copperfield was really not into it. He looked and acted like he needed a long vacation.

Well, this was about 7 or 8 years ago, but I saw David Copperfield at Ceasar's Palace in Las Vegas. Honestly, it was a highlight of my trip. But there are so many other great shows nowadays in Vegas. Copperfield probably IS getting tired of performing after all these years.

Lance Burton's show is terrific, one of the best we've seen in Las Vegas. He's extremely entertaining & personable.

Definitely MISS Steve Wyrick - we saw him at the Aladdin in December. Awful!

My son saw him when he came to Louisiana recently. He has seen his specials on tv & said it wasn't as good in person. Maybe DC was having an off night. Still my son enjoyed the show but he expected a bit more.

My kids wanted to see Lance Burton so I rather reluctantly agreed- It ended up being one of the most entertaining evenings we had. He was personable, funny,etc.etc. I think the best magic show in Vegas for kids or adults.

A friend of mine just saw David Copperfield recently and took her little one. She said the show wasn't good at all. Her child wasn't impressed either. My friend said the show was rather boring. Maybe you should stick to Lance Burton.
sorry...

Rick Thomas has an afternoon magic show at the Tropicana. He is very entertaining too and tickets are around $15 each.
