Centralia, PA, the town abandoned due to a 40+ year old unstoppable underground coal fire sounds intriguing. Is it worth a visit?

Trip Ideas
My DD did a "Weird Pennsylvania" road trip a few years ago with a friend and Centralia was on their itinerary. They brought back some neat pictures, so when our travels a year or so later took us to that area, we made a short detour to see it. It was interesting to see spots where steam was coming out of the ground and to see the mostly-abandoned area. There's also an abandoned road that you can walk out on for quite aways although there is a sign there warning that "walking in this area can result in serious injury or death".
I wouldn't go far out of my way to see Centralia and it should only take about 15-30 minutes to see it (depending on if you walk some or just drive around).
