Los Angeles for Christmas, hope it's warm enough one day to take the kids to the beach, and Yosemite for New Year's! Looking forward to ice skating in Curry Village and maybe a sleigh ride.

We'll be in Wilmington DE. First time ever there, first time ever in a hotel on Christmas. Our daughter is doing an externship and we couldn't spend Christmas without her!

The top of Mount Washington, NH! The Observatory sold NYE visits to three couples at $1,000 per couple as a fundraiser. My husband is an Obs volunteer cook and offered to do a theme dinner for these guests, and arranged for me to come along as well. I've never been up in winter (we go up/down via snowcat...it's officially the worst weather in the world, for joy). So, if anyone is interested in whether I survive the experience, let me know and I'll report back.

We will be traveling to see family in Ft. Lauderdale. Have not spent a holiday with them since 1971. It seems that there is a tug of war going on as to who's house that we go to first. The sister in law won and everyone will come and see us Christmas day. We have a full agenda, so we will fly home for a month and go back again in February for most of the month. Can't wait

Family back home not very happy. They will have to get over it.

You made me laugh! Yes, WI is cold, but you have to admit, this winter has been VERY MILD so far! I mean, we were in the 60's in the beginning of this month - that's unheard of!

We're going to my parents' for Christmas, but will be home for New Years. We'll be gone for almost a week. I've consoled my husband with the promise that he can bring his and our girls' dirt bikes and go get muddy several times!

After New Years, the 4 of us will start a new family tradition and celebrate Epiphany. We'll head out for a short weekend trip a half-day's drive away. Haven't decided where yet. That will probably depend on the weather at the time.

Ann I would love to hear your report on your visit to Mt. Washington. About 10 years ago I was hiking to the top in July and got cought in a snow storm. I would love to be there in the winter but I don't think I am brave enough to do it. Keep warm, dress in many layers, and have fun.
