The most famous is probably the L Street Tavern (seen in Good Will Hunting). About 10 years back, my favorite was the Quiet Man Pub - kind of a dive, but great steak tips - but check to see if its open - last I heard it may have "gone condo" - like much of Southie - now that gentrification has set in. my friend who is here is laughing - she said tell him to do what we always do when we are traveling - ask the local traffic beat police officer or construction workers the best place for a real lunch or a good pub - they've never steered us wrong yet in any city we've ever been in !
