We're thinking of making reservations there for one night (very end of May) after our 3 night stay in Bar Harbor and on our way to a two night stay in Kennebunkport. Need to decide whether to book in the main inn or the newer building on the hill. I like the fact that the hill building has fridge and balcony-- but I'm thinking the views won't be as good as from the main buidling?
Appreciate feedback. Thanks!

Why there, particularly? Just wondering. I can think of several nice places along the coast in midcoast, but never have stayed at the one you mention.
Not stuck on that place. Chose it because it's a few minutes from Camden and the one other time we were on the coast, we loved Camden-- thought it was an especially handsome little town, with great restaurants. Would absolutely be open to other suggestions, e.g. a bit farther down the coast. What we're looking for is wonderfully handsome and quiet accommodations, with great views. Don't like B&B's (not interested in "mixing") and don't prefer Victorian architecture. Looking for water views, with excellent spacious rooms (preferably with fireplace), good privacy and as quiet as posbile. Thanks for in-put!
Lopok up "East Wind", in Tenant's Harbor. Their web site may not have been updated for a bit per another poster, but we've stayed there several times (including last summer) and have also enjoyed dining there -- with or without a stay there. They are on the water, on an inlet, so many nice sailboats tend to pull up, "park" off shore, and then come ashore in their dinghy right at their dock for dinner, too.
It's NOT like a "little B&B", by the way; more like a nice hotel, with a good restaurant, etc.
Just a thought!
Good luck!
Vermonter
I have stayed at the Inn at Ocean's Edge, and I would say you can't go wrong in either building. The main inn is certainly closer to the water (and the spectacular pool!), but it does not obstruct the view at all really from the building on the hill, in fact you probably get a broader view of the islands and beyond. Being the end of may, the weather should be warm enough to really make the balcony worth it. Its really a magnificent property, I wouldn't pass up the opportunity to go there, you're probably going to want more than one night!
