It not so much ginn's question that I find odd, but turn_it_on's response it really bizarre. I assume that she is joking. I hope that she's not serious. I couldn't imagine anyone on a travel board not knowing that the original poster is referring to Las Vegas.

Vegas was my first thought. Then, I harkened back to that first golden rule of comprehension: try actually reading the post. It says "our first trip to Europe". I'm confused. And is there a hotel in Vegas called "Venice"?

uhhh

Also, please see this thread http://www.fodors.com/forums/threadselect.jsp?fid=

They reposted to the Europe board this same question, as they are traveling to Europe. So there. Sheesh.

turn_it_on,

When ginn said Venice, I figured he/she meant the Venetian. But on second thought, you could be right. I read the post again and it does say that this is the first trip to Europe. When I first read it I thought it said it was the first trip FROM Europe. My apologies.
