Favorite defunct park? Now there's a category that deserves a thread all its own.
Are you sure this isn't a troll?
'Cause I live in Indiana and the only working "amusement" parks of any kind water, theme, etc. I can think of are Santa Claus Land and Indiana Beach.
The only defunct ones I can think of are Thunder Island as a water park and something up by Thorntown. They have yet to ever build Garfield World.
Most Hoosiers I know go to Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom, Kings Island in Cincinnati, Cedar Point, Ohio or stuff around Chicago.
Are there others that my fellow Hoosiers have been hiding from me?
We still have an hour and a half left of April Fools.
Old Indiana is defunct, and so is River Side. Fun spot is a park in northern Indiana, and the Indianapolis Zoo has a RC.
Here is a list of defunct park's in Indiana, http://www.defunctparks.com/parks/IN/indexIN.htm
Anybody remember Enchanted Forest in Chesterton, IN? I believe it's now a big waterpark. I went there as a kid and remember the Mad Mouse, riding the cable car across the wooded park. We had company picnic there with my dad's work every summer.
