Independance Day in California
Hi, guys. We 11 are from China and will stay in Los Angelas on July 4. I've found a lot of celebration activities there that day and wonder which one is the best for us. Will you pls help me so that we can have a deeper insight into American history and culture and better feel the atmosphrere of Independdance Day? Thanks so much for your advice!

Haven't been to many 4th of Julys in LA - but many here in San Diego and previously in SF.
Most people get together for family BBQ's - or go to the beach and then at night - watch the fireworks.
Guess there are also parties going on at the bars, etc.
There are probably a number of locations around the greater LA basin where they will be going off. What area are you staying?
Here is a page that should help. http://westwoodcharter.losangelesrea...s-4th-of-july/

Oops. Guess that list is for last year - but should be pretty much the same this year. Check the LA Times newspaper also - as they should have a good list.
online it's? www.latimes.com, and also this page should have some other references: http://www.local.com/results/?keywor...es%252C%2520CA
