I have some friends moving to Ridgefield and would like to give them a nice gift related to Ridgefield. What are the best restaurants and your favorite things to do in Ridgefield? Are there any good books of fun things to do in the area with and without young children (resaurant recommendations can be just for adults). Thank you!

Thank you Debi. Wondering if anyone has ever heard of the restaurant in Ridgfield called Toscana? Would that be a good place to give a gift certificate for?
I have eaten there and it is really good food in a nice old restored house. I can also recommend these:
Elms Restaurant & Tavern [american]
Bully's Steakhouse
Lotus [good chinese food]
Venice [Italian]
Dimitri's [greek; casual]
The Elms; Bernard's; and Stonehenge are all excellent, but on the country inn/a bit more formal side.
Hope this helps...
