Idaho...McCall, Idaho City or Stanley

Which is the more worthwhile road trip from Boise Idaho....McCall, Idaho CIty or Stanley. Looking for a scenic ride no more than 2 hours. Love to see authentic ranches, historical spots, etc. Would like "where the locals eat" restaurant options as well.

Idaho City is the only destination that can be done in two hours.

It's three hours to Stanley which we like for its setting in the Sawtooth Mountains and nearby Redfish Lake.

The 2 1/2-hour drive to McCall is beautiful, too.

Boise, Idaho City, Boise is 82 miles and takes 2 hours.

Boise, McCall, Boise is 215 miles and takes 5 hours.

Boise, Stanley, Boise is 264 miles and takes 6 1/2 hours.

The most interesting route for me is Boise, Hailey, Ketchum, Sun Valley, Redfish Lake, Stanley, Idaho City, Boise which is 347 miles, takes 7 hours, and includes a rather dull 142-miles drive from Boise to Hailey.
