I am looking for a romantic B&B in Connecticut

I am looking for a charming, romantic B&B in Connecticut during the winter season - possibly during the holiday season. I would love suggestions. Thanks to all.

Perhaps the Manor House in Norfolk, http://www.manorhouse-norfolk.com/
The Inn at National Hall, I like the Acorn Room, http://www.innatnationalhall.com/

Also highly recommended by a bunch of publications is the Boulders Inn, expensive, however. http://www.bouldersinn.com/

Our two favorites are The Boulders Inn, located in New Preston (be sure to request a fireplace room) and we absolutely love the Mayflower (Washington, Ct.) a little more expensive and worth it - both romantic with outstanding restaurants.

Great minds think alike Jan! I was just going to recommend the same 2 inns. I'll also add the Inn at National Hall in Westport. Not out in the country but an absolutely gorgeous and luxurious inn nevertheless. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby and still close to many lovely and more rural feeling towns nearby. My friend's husband hosted her 40th birthday party there in a private dining room and they gave us a little tour of some of the rooms. The place is decorated beautifully and the food was fantastic.

Just wanted to add that The Boulders overlooks Lake Waramaug and the surrounding villages are like something out of a postcard - very charming, especially Litchfield. If you go eat at Oliva in New Preston, great food and go to the winery at Hopkins Vineyard for a little tour and tasting. Upstairs there is a loft room that overlooks the lake. It's very nice.
