Hyatt Sarasota? Hotels in Lakewood Ranch area?

Will be in Sarsota in August - looking to relocate to area. We are considering Hyatt Sarasota - would like to hear positives and negative about staying here. We will be with our 9 year old daughter. Considering the Ritz because it has a children's program and has a beach place guests on Lido. Any really nice hotels in the Lakewood Ranch area?

A realtor gave me the name of the new Holiday Inn Sarasot-Lakewood Ranch. Pretty reasonable and it had good reviews on TripAdvisor.

Let's keep in touch and I'll let you know after next week about my trip down there.

I will post when I return. I can't wait to look at all the developments.

I also want to go to Siesta Key beach, I have never seen it. It's on my agenda.

Thanks for your response - I did see the Holiday Inn in Lakewood Ranch - it so reasonable that it make sense to stay there as a base to explore the area. Look forward to hearing from you!

Another vote for Holiday Inn Lakewood Ranch; MUCH better than the average Holiday Inn in a very nice corporate park setting on a lake. Good restaurants in the area too.

That's great to hear. I booked online on the Holiday Inn site after calling directly and it was less expensive, I got it for $71.

Can't wait.
