Would like to see a hula show that is not a part of a luau. Do not want to spend a lot of money or time at a luau Any suggestons?

It's hard to find out about hula shows that are not the big commercial ones. You can google halaus Oahu to find local hula schools and call them to see if they have a performance or ho'ike (ho ee kay) while you are there. Also look at the local newspapers for announcements in their calendar of events. A ho'ike does not always include the luau dinner.
By the way, the local luaus are not expensive.
