Hello,
My husband and I will be on Maui during the Hula Bowl festivities and would like to get tickets to the game on Jan. 22. Will it be possible to get game tickets upon our arrival (Jan. 16) or should we order tickets? The Hula Bowl's web site lists a telephone number to call for tickets. We've called but only an answering machine answers so we left a message. We haven't received a call back -- ??? Anyway, anyone have any ideas on how to get tickets?
Many thanks!

Try the concierge at your hotel. Can't imagine it selling out though.
Don't fret--There will be plenty of tickets when you arrive. The office is in south Maui. I don't think it has ever sold out.
Well it sounds like we shouldn't have a problem getting tickets. So, I guess we'll try calling one more time and if we don't have luck we will just plan on going to the office upon our arrival (we've rented a condo and won't have a concierge available to assist us).
Thanks for your help!
FYI: The $35 tickets are in the cool shade below the press box and faces the stage (half time show). The rest of the $10 seats will be in the hot afternoon sun, unless there is cloud cover. Of course if it rains, it won't matter if it's $10 or $35. I believe it rained the first or second year it was held on Maui. So be prepared and bring both sunscreen and a raincoat!!
Thanks for the info OffLady! My husband has tried calling again for tickets, and still no one answers ... I can see why the game isn't sold out - no one wants to sell tickets. But we'll search out tickets once we're in Kihei...
Sounds like you're on Maui... Do you have any other suggestions for activites while we're on Maui? We'll just miss the PGA Skins Tournament.
Yes, you're missing the Mercedes tournament at Kapalua right now. You can check the daily happenings on Maui at:
http://www.calendarmaui.com/
It will list most everything that is going on around Maui. It is updated whenever information is forwarded to the site so check it again when your date of arrival gets near.
In years past they have had pre-game Hula Bowl activities. They usually have an autograph session at the mall for the public where you can meet not just the players and coaches, but also Heishman trophy award recipients from years past. (No, OJ never showed up.) They've also sold tickets for the pre-game banquet with the athletes, dinner with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and a golf tournament. I don't know if these are happening this year. The credit unions on the island are selling tickets (they are one of the sponsors) if you can't buy them at the Hula Bowl office. Sounded like ticket sales are very slow. Here's a recent news article:
