How to Get from Martha's Vineyard to Boston Airport

That subject line pretty much says it all!

We need to get from Martha's Vineyard to Boston's Logan airport. What's the best way to do that? And how long should we allot? (Our flight leaves Boston 5:40PM on Tuesday -- and we'll want to arrive at least an hour early. Not sure if we need to factor in rush hour.

Thanks!!!

Cheapest is Steamship ferry to Woods Hole, then Plymouth and Boston bus directly to your terminal.

Schedules and prices for both are at

https://www1.steamshipauthority.com/ and
http://www.p-b.com

The bus takes longer and is subject to traffic delays. Cape Air is subject to weather delays. It also comes into the same terminal as Jet Blue. If you are flying any other airline, you will have to change terminals.

Best to me = private helicopter. Your criteria for best may be different.

Thanks so much for your help. But I'm still a bit confused.

I'll take the ferry from Martha's Vineyard to Wood's Hole.

But apparently, the p-b bus leaves from Hyannis, Barnstable, Sagamore, Plymouth, and Rockland.
How will I get to one of these places from Wood's Hole?

The flight is tempting -- but it would cost $396 for two tix.

Thanks, again!

Or take Peter Pan to Boston, I don't know where they drop off, but I think it might be south station and there is plenty of public transportation in the city to logan.

Peter Pan bus leaves from Woods Hole and Falmouth and goes to Logan Airport. See schedule at the link. There's a bus that arrives at about 4:15. That should give you enough time to avoid rush hour and build in time for any other delays.

Sorry to confuse you. I forgot that Peter Pan served the Other Island through Woods Hole.
