How is Franchmen St. in NOLA ? Still good ?

I am assuming the F-M was not effected by any of the storms but want to make sure safety is also not an issue. Thanks for any additional updates/info.

When we were there last year, Frenchman St was jumping. We didn't have any safety concerns there. Further out into the F-M, I don't know.

I was just there last week. Saw Charmaine Neville at Snug Harbor and Jazz Vipers at the Spotted Cat. No impact from any storms, but crowds were light. I walk the area all the time, but it isn't the busy French Quarter. Best to know your directions and keep a pace. Traveling along Decatur St. is busier and less dicey.

Hey, SAnParis! Things are fine in that area. Use the same wise traveling precautions you have always used in NO or other big cities in the areas with night life. Have fun!

It's now more of the "high season" and the storm-issues are behind us. Frenchmen was packed over the weekend and will be every weekend for a few months!
