How far from San Fran to Mendocino

How far from San Fran to Mendocino?

If your agenda included point Reyes area, Mendocino/Elk area and Healdsburg, how would you order your trip?

Thanks

Katherine,

Have you ever heard of a map? Try outfits like mapquest or AAA. They will have all of your answers. Then come back with some more specific questions.

You don't have to get snippy Mr. or Ms. "Californian". I HAVE seen a map. I want the input of those who have actually done the drive.

Here's an idea. Why don't you not respond to questions to which you have no constructive response.

In my experience that drive takes four hours. People will tell you it's not that long (my husband swears it's a three hour drive) but it really is four hours. Are you making a loop from San Francisco? If so, then I'd do Pt. Reyes, then Mendocino, and hit Healdsburg on the way back off of 101 (you'd be on 1 on the way up).

Oh, and you are doing this trip over a few days I hope? It's way too much for one day. Check out the wineries on 128 on your way from Mendocino to Healdsburg. Yorkville has my very favorite wine, a Petit Verdot, and Husch has a really nice Chenin Blanc.

Hi Monica,

Yes, I am doing the loop in a six day time frame. Thanks for the wineries suggestions. How long will it take me from Mendocino to Healdsburg?

Thanks Monica

With or without the stops at the wineries? :0) I think it's around two hours from Mendocino to Healdsburg, give or take.

Katherine,

It's Mr., if it makes a difference. Your type of question is asked on this board over and over, and over and over, again daily.

This site is not a travel agent. It is for help after you have figured some basic things out, which you obviously have not done. Looking at a map would make your basic agenda a no brainer.

Questions about what to do in Mendocino and Healdsburg, which of two or three hotels to stay at, etc. is more what this site was designed for.

This, hopefully, is a response you will consider constructive. Actually, I thought getting a map/mapquest/AAA was constructive since your original question was ..........well....not the best one on the board this century.
