How easy is it to get to Arthur's Landing

We're staying on 53rd/7th and are thinking about eating dinner at Arthur's Landing, but how easy would it be to get there (and back) and is it as expensive as River Cafe (which is too expensive for us). If not Arthur's Landing, have you any other suggestions for a lovely view - it's our first time in New York, and we're a little unsure about distances and how long it can take to get there.

Are you talking about Arthurs landing in Weehawken/Port Imperial. If so you can catch the ferry across I want to say at 48th street but I'm not sure. Ferry tickets are 6$ each way about an 8 min. ride.

Yes, that's the one - what would be the best way of getting to the ferry from 53rd/7th?

Hi there is a bus that goes from lincoln center at 60th to the terminal which is located at 39th Street. You could take 57th street or 42nd street bus to 12 th ave and then walk to 39th or just jump in vcab for about 6 bucks.
ferry website and schedule here

www.nywaterway.com

hope that helps
