And how was the rain? I understand from friends that the high yesterday in the middle of the state was about 45, so that might hasten color.
It looks pretty crappy around my house, too many swamp maples. Lots of leaves already down. Just NW of Concord NH. Saw on the news that Cannon Mtn tramway is open this week for the final week. There was snow at high elevations.
The colors in Northern Vermont have been fantastic this year. The best I've seen in quite a few years.
Not sure about West Townsend as that is in the southern half of the state but the mountain areas up this way are past peak now. I can't speak for all the valley areas but here in the Champlain Valley south of Burlington the colors should hit peak this coming weekend/early next week.
