Are you asking for THIS summer?
I fear that houses will be rented long since.
And I fear that your budget is nowhere near what any house would cost. Perhaps you might be able to find a room in a shared house for that - is such is still available.

If you are looking for employee housing, it has been discussed here.

Ack - I think like last years thread, that this first time poster is looking for employee housing which is a whole different market. That's why I posted the chamber of commerce link. I'm sure Nantucket has a similar housing search.

The chamber of commerce has a few links to rooms that may rent for what you want to spend, Some of them say the rooms will hold 3 people (bunk beds?) so perhaps only $400 or so per person per month - which seems to me an incredibly good deal in a resort.
Getting a house for that price is simply not possible.

If nytraveler's suggestion does not work, you will have to be there to find housing, probably couch surfing for a while until you do. Look on notice boards and ask every young person you meet if they know of a bed or room in a house. It will be very difficult for your group of friends to find a place together at such a late date.
The good news is that if you stay until October or even Christmas, prices drop drastically, you can move to a better place, and you may be able to rent the same place next summer.

The OP is long gone - and their summer job finished.
And no one is going to rent a "granny flat" - if they have one - for anything like that amount of money.
Have you ever been there - seen the prices? this is a VERY upscale resort!
