Hotels on West Wisconsin

I posted this earlier, but don't know what happened to my note. Anyway, here goes again:

Planning a trip to Milwaukee with my daughter and 2 friends. They want to see a concert at The Rave. Any info on this place for 16 year old girls -- is it safe (they would go alone, I'd drop them off and pick them up).

What about the area? Is a hotel on the 2300 block of West Wisconsin Avenue a safe bet? Or should we stay elsewhere? Any suggestions??
