What area in Cleveland would be best for a group of 4 going to the Indians games? Preferably with good bars and tourist attractions around. Would like to keep costs down though.

Topping for help, hopefully.
OK...I'll bite. I am not a baseball fan but I frequently stay in the city for business. There are always fans staying at both the Marriott at the Key Center and at the nearby Renaissance as I believe it is a walk to the baseball stadium.Last time I stayed at the Marriott, the Texas Rangers were also staying there for a game.
Nearby, there is a good choice of restaurants to walk to within a very easy radius.
Have stayed a couple of times in downtown Cleveland with excellent deals through Priceline. In August, got Hyatt for $49/nt. Remember, Priceline only guarantees room for 2 people, so you would need 2 rooms. Parking (w/ in/out) was $22. Have also stayed at Hilton (right across from stadium) for $49/night. This Sunday's New York Times featured Cleveland in their 36 hours in ... feature. http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9A0CEFD91739F933A15756C0A9639C8B63&sec=travel
I have also stayed in the Marriott Key Center. Walking distance to stadiums and museums.
