Hotels Down the Jersey Shore

I'm looking for hotel recommendations for Lavalette, NJ or the surrounding areas for a Thursday and Friday at the end of July. I would like something within walking distance to the beach, reasonably priced and clean. We will be meeting family there and staying in a house rental beginning Saturday. Any recommendations would be appreciated.
