Hotels between Phoenix-Sky Harbor Airport and Sedona
Flying into Phoenix late afternoon/early evening and want to head north towards Sedona before calling it a day. Any suggestions for hotels between these points? Don't think I'll have the energy to make it all the way to Sedona and rather do it in daylight anyway.

Cave Creek is a fun old-western town and has a number of places to stay.....maybe one of these would fit the bill:

It's only 2 hours from the airport to Sedona in normal traffic. Almost the entire drive is on the interstate, you won't be missing any great scenery if its dark.
If you still don't want to make the drive, the most lodging options along the route would be in the northern suburbs.
